This isn't another DVinfo.net or Cinema5D, and I'm no Philip Bloom! Rather, this blog is a filmmaker's 7D compendium of sorts: a one-stop place to connect to the best of what's available online regarding HDSLR filmmaking. It's a portal to the most valuable posts and sites for anyone seeking 7D enlightenment. It's putting the months of research I've done into one place to save you from the hassle of scouring post after post just to get the most basic and vital information.

About Me...

I am a professional in the audio/visual industry, having worked with video for over 8 years. I am also a 7D owner and shooter. I bought my camera for the sole purpose of creating beautiful and professional looking video footage, no matter the project.

As I researched which camera gear to buy, I learned a TON about HDSLR cinematography. I scoured post after post, forum after forum, making sure I had the most informed view of exactly what this camera can do and which peripherals were most essential for acquiring the best footage I could. I compared prices. I read gear reviews. I watched hours and hours of sample clips and video tutorials. I documented nearly everything I found so that when it came time to lay down the cash, I would be 100% certain that I was making the right choice for what I needed.

Once I bought my 7D, I realized that there are many others out there like myself, spending hours looking for the right info to guide them in their buying decisions. I also realized that many current 7D owners bought their camera before really learning a lot of this stuff, and were running into all kinds of problems during shooting. I decided to compile all the information I had gathered, along with my own experiences using the camera, and create a blog where you could find it all in one place (or at least find the links that had the best info all in one place).

I never intended this blog to replace or even compete with some of the more popular forums like DVinfo.net or Cinema5D. Instead, it's the hub that takes you straight to the good stuff.

Who am I? I'm just a dude who wants to share what I know with others.
